Meet the Artist Behind Stonessa
Welcome to My World of Handmade Ceramics
Every piece you’ll find at Stonessa is made by hand in my studio in Novi Sad, Serbia. I create unique ceramic tableware and sculptural vases with one goal in mind — to elevate everyday rituals through art. My work is inspired by the beauty of food presentation, quiet daily moments, and my travels around the world. If you're drawn to fine dining culture, everyday rituals, and reflections on aesthetics and creativity, explore the Stonessa Stories.
A Journey Rooted in Tradition and Craftsmanship
I began my journey under the guidance of generous ceramic masters, both in Serbia and abroad, who freely shared their skills and philosophy of the craft. With thousands of hours spent learning and experimenting, I have mastered a wide range of techniques — from coiling, carving, and hand-building to throwing on the wheel and exploring Japanese traditions.
Materials That Reflect Nature and Imperfection
I work primarily with stoneware clay and porcelain, two materials that allow me to embrace the wabi-sabi aesthetic I love — imperfect, textured, and deeply honest. Each plate, bowl, or vase I make carries a story shaped by time, care, and intention.
By using artisan ceramic techniques, I shape pieces that reflect both tradition and modern aesthetics — each handmade ceramic telling its own story. You can browse the Stonessa full collection of handmade ceramics to see how these materials are transformed into functional art.
Functional Design Meets Artistic Expression
What I love most is imagining how my ceramics will be used. I design every item with the dish in mind that might be served on it, whether in a home or a fine dining restaurant. My goal is always to balance function and emotion, and to bring beauty to the table.
Each ceramic plate, bowl, and cup is crafted to elevate daily rituals — from quiet mornings to festive gatherings — as part of thoughtful, custom tableware that merges utility with artistry.
